Dragon Quest VI patch problem

I've had no trouble patching Dragon Quest V(Only because I have a patched rom from a few monthes ago). But i'm having trouble patching Dragon Quest VI.

The original japenese rom that I am using to patch with, works fine. But whenever I aptch it and run it on Snes9x or zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator). It goes black screen on me. I've tried using NSRT ..still doesn't work.

Note: I'm trying to patch it so I can play it on my psp.

You will need to remove or add a header to the rom, so that the patch is applied properly. It has nothing to do with the emus themselves.

Alright..I patched the rom fine and stuff. But strangely, it does not work when I try to play it on my psp.

Well, you have to contact the author of the PSP Port of Snes9x. There is no PSP port of ZSNES.

You can check out http://www.romhacking.net and read up un both patches or ask on their message board.
