Post by Dartagnan »

HI

I'm looking for a nice, simple rpg thats not gonna take too long, just something more relaxing than chrono trigger or ff3.
thanks in advance

Madou Monogatari
Guardian of Paradise
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

For SNES, or anything ?
I'd say Actraiser, Robotrek, Seiken Densetsu 3 and/or WOZZ.
Add Rejoice to these if you can deal with the japanese.

For GBA, the swordcraft story series is very nice, and I also advise trying out riviera & yggdra union (Sting rocks).

Also Dragoon X Omega 2 easytype is fun.

Yup.

Undines messed me up pretty badly though. :/ Damn their Unions.

Kickass. Your project list is so big I actually didn't expect it to be in the works right now, heh.

One of these days I'm going to play that game. Started it a few years ago and didn't think much of it.

Earthbound is a game that grows on you later on. The start is a bit silly, but later on, there is no rpg that can match its greatness. The last boss is a very rewarding experience, even if damn easy.

man, I could pimp Eb all day

I always thought the game was so funny; I think the humor translated very well and still appeales to North American audiences. There's a ton of references to The Beatles and other plays on pop culture. The graphics of the game turned off a lot of people, but I think that colorful 2d in a Charlie Brown sorta way is where it's at! The battles also have some sweet moving backgrounds.

The content of the games becomes so outrageous I could never put it down and I daresay Eb may be my fav. snes game ever.

Kieran you gotta play this game man

other guy as well

I heard rumors of a GBA compilation pack featuring all 3 games on one cart...

just rumors though,

it would be more likely for us to see a Mother I and M2 GBA title (with 3 omitted) methinks, if there is even any truth to these whispers.

That would be cool. But hell, I'd buy all three separately if thats what it took. I'd love to pass some boring ass hours by at work on those games. (And not have to lug a laptop around to do so.)

that would be cool, unfortunately Nintendo doesn't seem to be giving us much Gameboy Advance love anymore.

just survive till you get your ship to fly in the upper sky (above the clouds) that's only like half-way through the game ;)

A good RPG for the playstation 2 that I would recommend is Ys: The Ark of Napishtim. Especially if you like action role playing games like secret of mana, legend of mana, terranigma, star ocean, zelda, secret of evermore, illusion of gaia, forever kingdom, super ninja boy, tales of phantasia or tales of symphonia. You have 3 types of upgradeable blades. The livart( wind sword), bilarante (fire sword) and electicil ( the thunder sword) all in lavish 2d overtop view propertion like the zelda series is popular for. Lots of enemies to take on, breathtaking worlds to explore. This game is actually better than most of the Zelda games I've played. It also has an adjustable difficulty level you can pick at the start of the game.http://www.rpgamer.com/games/ys/ys6/ys6.html
