big deal. the main website isn't updated in the same way the intranet website is. so when people see a cool price on the website and it's not in the store, they pull up the intranet website and the price still isn't right. I'd whip out my phone and show them the real website and shove it in their face. while you would sit there and cry about it like a wittle bwaby.

Not all of us have your fancy internet phone. It would make more sense to update internal website before external.

yes I agree. it's a shame it got to the point to become news in the first place. I can imagine someone finding a cool new toy on their website at home, going in, not finding the same price, then the disbelief when the employee showing you the "actual website" with a different price. then the anger of going home and finding the original price. I say error in website programming, the article calls it "cheating customers out of money." nobody's perfect, not you or even best buy. only I am perfect.

p.s. but Istill love you anyways <3 <3 <3

I have to say big deal. I remember a year or two ago when newegg would post an ad with a low price, but by the time the magazines hit newsstands the sales were over. People cried over that too. What was sad though is that newegg relented, and gave partial refunds.

whats funnier is that more than 10 times i have seen newegg put an item on "sale" except the sale price was more than the item cost the week prior

Kind of wish that this hadn't gotten any media attention. It's been an incredibly great thing for deal-shopping, despite what all the press have said.

The reason is quite simple: the kiosks let you buy items in-stock at the website's warehouse at in-store clearance prices. I've gotten a number of box sets from them for $10-20 that would normally have cost $30-50 (or more) if I'd bought them at the "bestbuy.com" prices.

Yeah. I've seen that. I've also seen sale prices there that will then go up a whole $1 more after the sale ends. Yeah, that was a great sale. Their pricing fluctuates a hell of a lot.

On the flip side, they do have plenty of very good sales. I'm not sue of Newegg's intentions, but they sure have given me unfaltering great service over the past few years.
