X-men arcade - Enabling 2 screen mode

Post by clessoulis »

Is there away to enable 2 screen mode on x-men arcade on a single screen.

It would be nice to play it in true widescreen instead of streching the 1 screen.

In MAME or the real arcade board? For MAME in the video options of the in game GUI is a 'Dual side-by-side' option for dual screen games. The 6P version has it on by default?

Can't help with the real hardware.

I'm not sure if you want to play on one or two PC monitor screens, but anyway:

MAME now support true dual monitors setups for games that originally ran on two screens ( Playchoice10 games for example)

There are many versions of the X-men arcade, some with one screens, some with two.

I think Haze (or R.Belmont ot some other MAME dev) was working on emulating the dual screen version of the game a good while back. But I don't know if progress has been made since.
