During my previous efforts with cubic kernels I realised that the methods were probably overkill for the kind of images they would be subjected to, rather, I opted to construct a quadratic kernel with a small radius, one that requires 4 texture fetches, making it readily PS v2.0 compliant. It was co...

I think the Mitchell kernel with a proper set of initialization parameters could make a nice interpolation scheme for the whole SNES screen, if feasible, in pixel shader form. ( Source thread ) Well, I went ahead and implemented the Mitchell-Netravali kernel along with a the appropriate sampling me...

And yes, you could do this a lot nicer with a software filter, but this was meant to offload all the work to the GPU. Don't know if you actually made any tests, but you can readily try this effect in shader form in a very straightforward way with tools like RenderMonkey. I quickly hacked up a GLSL-...

Re: Mousewrap porblem and/features missing in emu but in .cf
I completely agree, they should have long been removed.nensondubois wrote:Some features like Disable echo and disable transparency are not in the emulator but are in the .cfg file which is a tiny bit annoying.

So... can you disable the totally superfluous search box and recover your URL bar space? Not last time I checked. I, for one, use multiple search engines on a daily basis. Not quite superfluous. See: sidebar. And you were complaining about the reduction of screen real estate?, I honestly find CTRL+...

The Image Zoom plugin now interpolates images instead of the simple pixel doubling that I want, in fact, all zoomed images seem to be interpolated now! This is a pretty huge deal for me. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it? File a complaint and wait, I don't think they added a toggle... At lea...

What we really need is extending the color gamut of today's monitors, not the amount of gradients that can be displayed in the same, already limited colorspace. That's why I can't replicate the color of a monochrome Game Boy screen, for example even on the highest quality CRT display with 24-bit co...

That's why I can't replicate the color of a monochrome Game Boy screen, for example even on the highest quality CRT display with 24-bit color. Those colors just aren't there in the sRGB colorspace. well, you could try this approach, get yourself a goot web-cam (or camera, something similar), take a s...

I recommend the Logitech Rumblepad 2 over the Dual Action. If you decide to get the Dual Action, do not install the Logitech Profiler. I own an XBOX 360 controller and use it in windows, everything feels nice and dandy except for the D-Pad - it sucks - it's awkwardly designed as the direction disc ...
