Does it suck less or more than the older Windows Media Player versions?

it sucks more because you cant stop it from opening in the media library -.- unlike with v10 which had the option to stop said behavior.

Personally I wouldn't say "total", because if you open a sound file you start in now playing.

Not going to bother wasting time installing this one. I already know it blows. WMP7 had a bit of suckage, from then on it has only risen with each release. I stopped caring at 10.

And fock DRM.

i never said that it always loads in the library i said theres no way to change its behavior from what ive described... AND WHY IS THERE A FOLDER CALLED FRANPA-ALERT???????

I think you have to be pretty special* to have a whole series of image macros hosted on the NSRT website dedicated to you like that.

i'll stick with Foobar 2000 for audio and VLC or MPC for video... i haven't used WMP since v6.4 or whatever
