When I'm in a *NIX operating system, I usually use Nano, Gedit, or Kate. When I'm in Windows, I use Notepad++.

I usually use nano since I'm usually in linux doing some quick edit ot a config file or program when text editing. For larger projects I use Kate. In windows it's Notepad and in DOS it's edit.com. If I had a Mac, I'd probably use TextEdit. For word processing I like Abiword or Openoffice.

Notepad++. Hits the best balance of resource usage and features of every alternative I tried. It doesn't require installation. And of course, I also think it's just a good program overall that I like using. :)

When my n64 controller wasn't working (or i couldn't find it)... i used to make a contoller with a pullup resistor on the data line and tapping key conected to the gnd.

It was tricky at first, but in the end i had VERY quick fingers.

You are all wusses. I shoot special electromagnetic rays from my eyes that cleverly add the file I want to the HD directly from my mind.

Now if only I could conjure up a new graphics card.

Notepad? Are you still living in the stone age? :) Any other editor is better than that old artifact from the past.
Try Notepad++,TED,metapad,Geany,...

But the coolest one is VI from the commandline.

Ooh, I get it. Yeah, doing stupid shit like showcasing one's password without proper asterisk conversion is asking for trouble.

It's fixed now :)
