ePSXe 1.6.0/1.7.0 FFIX issue
Not sure if anyone else has this issue with the (somewhat) new 1.7.0 release but though I'd mention it here. I'm currently on Disc 3 on FFIX (NTSC) and it is a legal copy of the game (which I ripped of course) and the game seems to just hang there at a cretain part. The part I'm referring to is when Kuja is in Alexandria and about to summon Bahamut to destroy the city. It's right before the FMV and after Kuja finishes talking. What happens is the screen goes blank, but doesn't seem to actually "crash" as the FPS counter is still fluctuating. I made the save on v1.7.0 and going back to 1.6.0 doesn't do jack squat. Anyone have this issue? I can provide the save that has this problem. I didn't have this issue in 1.6.0 or ealier (1.5.2).

Hmm, I'll try a memcard save on pSX...
Edit 9:41PM: Crap...couldn't make a memcard save of it, but I was wrong about the FPS; it just stays the same and doesn't fluctuate. Won't run even on 1.5.2, which was known to run FFIX very well. I'm almost convinced the save is corrupted...should I attach it for people to try? Shouldn't the ePSXe team be made aware of this issue or what?

the only issues I've ever had with ePSXe and FFIX are scratched disks, you might want to check your disk. If you could rip it again or something you could continue without having to backtrack.
