Mibbit is an online IRC client written in AJAX I believe so it would work

and mIRC/miranda IM IRC work in wine
Also off-topic: XChat is good graphical client using GTK+ (though the source code version seems to be getting neglected, 2.8.7e is the latest Windows binary, 2.8.6 is the latest source release), but I also recommend KVIrc as an alternative and for those who prefer Qt. Irssi is the ultimate terminal client though, and my client of choice.

Just use mIRC with WINE.There's no Linux app that comes close to the quality of mIRC.

OK, going further off-topic now...

Yes, install Wine, download mIRC, install that to the virtual C drive, then live with a UI so ugly it makes the mangled QGtkStyle window byuu posted recently look nice by comparison.

Or I could just type "sudo apt-get install xchat/kvirc/irssi" and have any of these clients installed and configured in one easy step.

Seriously, why use mIRC on Linux? It's not even the easier option.

YES. X-chat is made of pure awesome and win. If you don't like X-chat, you can try Konversation, it's good too. Stay away from BitchX (another terminal IRC app) it is garbage.

personally I tend to like CGI:IRCs, as long as you can find (or compile one yourself somewhere) one that allows you to input your own server instead of select from a list.

Yes, yes they do.

Living with those lame-ass scripts for mIRC is fine too

also, that tron guy almost looks like my cousin. Almost.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

Personally I hate the whole idea of running IRC over HTTP. They are just not compatible, IRC is event based, HTTP is request based.

OK, now these are pretty cool. I'd go with the glassy version myself, the other texture looks a bit weird.

I like em both, actually! (the first moreso than the second, but both are indeed awesome.)

It looks really good when sharpened quite a bit.

I took a slightly different approach...

Perhaps it's too "restricted", however.

that's actually an interesting idea. Not bad at all. Not a huge fan of the SNES logo to begin with but it's a good idea.

My new favorite of the logos. It uses themes from the real thing, without being lame like mine was. Very nice!

The B in the BSNES needs to be different because "BSNES" is not the system that is being emulated.

Cool! I definitely like the simplicity and authentic feel to that one. Going to have to use multiple images or something.

Awesome idea. "My emulator is 100% bit-perfect to the real BSNES" :D

But anyway, all lowercase please.
