ZSNES and XScreensaver

Post by andrewd18 »

Is it possible to build something into ZSNES so it automagically halts X-screensaver on start? I don't like having to move my mouse every so many minutes to turn my screensaver off.

Or is it already there, and I'm just not seeing it?

I asked Nach for such a feature at one point.

You'd be best off killing xscreensaver before using ZSNES, then restarting it when you're done.

Screensavers are pointless.
Try out CCleaner and other free software at Piriform

My, aren't we cynical today? To tell you the truth, though, I thought they were useless too until I saw ElectricSheep. That program is cool. I fell asleep watching it yesterday, it was so mesmerizing.

Unless you have annoying siblings around whom you can't leave your computer running unattended. ;)

You probably haven't seen some of the masterpieces in xscreensaver, snkcube. There are quite a number of spectacular demonstrations in there...the variety alone can prove stunning.

I just use Windows key + L. That way I don't have to deal with a screensaver kicking in when I don't want it to. But annoying siblings can't get in.
