What OS are you running? If it is Windows Xp or Nt, do you have admin access? Where are you unzipping it to?
Also, try using Winrar or Winzip to unzip the file.

You need to log-in as an Administrator.

I'm guessing he is using the "Run" feature in Winzip instead of "Extract"

7zip is excellent as well (it's freeware!). ;)

IZArc is a really good freeware archiving utility, too. I prefer it over 7-zip, actually. It supports many more formats than 7-zip, and seems to be more stable overall.

You have just converted me to IZArcism! This is a great archiver, it even lets you compress to 7z! :D

Glad you like it.

I think it should be made more well-known in the freeware community. Maybe we could list it alongside 7-zip on official ZSNES pages, such as the docs and the wiki.

The wiki mentions PowerArchiver, which is pretty nice.

PowerArchiver isn't freeware, though. IZArc is.

The 7z format seems to be the format of choice these days...

Dumb question, but does either Power Archiver or IZArc support the 64-bit Zip standard? (I'm not exactly too keen on this subject)

I'm still on 7-zip... I'm not a fan of it's semi-lacking UI, but it's still usable..

PowerArchiver does support Deflate64. At least, PA 7 did.

Maybe I should call you denser-than-iridium for that reply.

Nah, don't do that, then there's a chance he might start thinking he's a sattelite network and usable in a jungle in the Saharrah Forrest.

I'll tell you what though, let's throw him in a river :)

Once we throw him off the boat, the river water level will drop ;)

I was pretty obvious what the gist of your comment was. I was just glad that I didn't know the properties of osmium or iridium. Cos that would make me a ultra mega nerd. More than I am now, you see.

Yes it was pretty obvious that the comment was directed at you. You don't need to be a nerd to get it either. You can be a well rounded chemist or psyics major.

If you get both of those I directed at you, you're not a nerd, more like someone who follows tech news, or cell phone news, or have shares in Motorola not to mention an understanding of water and/or psyics.
