Music issues in WIN v1.51

Post by New User »

When I use WIN v1.51, the music in the games seems slow. I know "slow" might not be the best word for it, but I don't know how else to describe it. I've used older versions of ZSNES before and just had this problem with the new version. Unfortunately, I also got a new computer so I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong with the program, or if it's my system causing the issue. The game otherwise runs fine, no slowdown or framerate problems, just the music. Any help would be appreciated!
I am using windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2.

Computer specs? Are you running any other programs while using ZSNES?

AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3300+
1.81 GHz, 348 MB of Ram

ZSNES seems to run the same no matter what programs I run in the background.

Logic would assume that if you have problems with sound or music, you should also post your sound or music specs.

Don't be ridiculous. What could the sound subsystem POSSIBLY ahve to do with sound reproduction!

It is relevent to mention what games are being tested here to come to such a conclusion.

Sound card is Realtek AC'97 drivers are up to date.

I'm afraid I was mistaken, the entire game seems to be slow as evidenced by running F-Zero. The game displays a timer on the screen and it runs slower than normal time. My best guess is that this would be a problem with CPU clockspeed or available RAM but I seem to have a sufficient amount of both.

You might need to install these AMD drivers to fix the performance problems.
