Well I don't want to deal with AVG anymore as it disables itself. I'm thinking about NOD 32. Any other suggestions?

You don't need antivirus software. Keep a VM around if you're doing shady shit.

I use clamwin every few months when I feel like bandaging whatever horrible stuff I caused.
Otherwise, yeah use a VM, sandboxie, live CD, etc
If you absolutely insist on an anti-virus my mother would recommend Avira.

Hang on, I'm using AVG on my computer. What do you mean by "it disables itself"?

Eh, I haven't used Anti-Virus software on this machine for years. Never really had any "virus" problems, that and AV software just slows everything down anyway·
