help with patching

Post by KappaSig21 »

Yes I have read the FAQ's just to start off. I've never used an emulator before so this is my first time. I run windows 98 and wanted to see if someone could tell me how to patch Star ocean. I right clicked on the file and tried to rename it like it said but I must not have done it right. Any help would be appreciated

Your Star Ocean ROM is in a .ZIP file, right? Simply place the .IPS patch file in the ZIP along with the ROM. Then make sure "auto-ips patching" is enabled in Zsnes under "save options", if your version has it. If this doesn't work, there is something wrong with your ROM.

Don't worry about the "graphics pack" stuff; the newer versions of Zsnes don't use them.

always make sure you have the latest version. The latest WIP (work in progress) build is what most should use. See my signature (below) for a link.
