Seiken Densetsu 3 3-player Support
I've hacked the rom to finally support 3 human players simultaneously which I'm sure should please a few people who have tried it and noticed that it doesn't support 3 players natively for some reason.
Enjoy!

PS. You should be able to apply this patch to either version (translated or non-translated) of the ROM, but I've only tested it on the translated version.
Further details are in the readme.
Enjoy!

NO F****N WAY YOU CAN DO THIS NOW. Perhaps in a distant future when someone crazy adds support to ZSNES to it.

yeah, I submitted it there a few days ago and it seems to be up. I'm just posting it here and on a few other popular boards to try to get the word out a bit. I don't want anyone else to have to endure the frustration that my friends and I did when we found out the game doesn't actually support 3 players normally.
So it has to do with the emulator and not the actual rom? I don't kinda get it. If everybody had the IPS, wouldn't it be fine, as you can play 2 player in netplay normally? Just curious here.Hyos wrote: NO F****N WAY YOU CAN DO THIS NOW. Perhaps in a distant future when someone crazy adds support to ZSNES to it.

Obviously you are not understanding the context. ZSNES cannot do netplay with more than 2 computers. This doesn't mean there cannot be 3 or more players w/netplay, it just means more than one person must share the same computer.alkaine wrote:So it has to do with the emulator and not the actual rom? At some point, sure. However, that isn't the priority... the rewrite should help netplay out anyways.alkaine wrote:Ah, ok, I was missing that one. Are there any plans of implementing something like that? That might require one computer as "server", I suppose.

Hi,
I've been trying to use the patch I downloaded from:
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/snes/pa ... er_ips.rar
(the link posted above seems to be broken)
I then put the .ips file in the same directory as the .smc rom and also in ~/.zsnes/ but when I open the .smc file in Zsnes and open state so I can test, nothing seems to have changed.
I've enabled auto patching in Zsnes and have been pressing the start button for player 2 and 3.
Can anyone offer any help? Thanks!

1) The link works.
2) If don't know if IPS is not working, make sure to check the message that appears when you load a game. Check for IPS in the message. If the message does not include IPS in it, make sure you rename the IPS file appropriately. SD3.smc should have an IPS file named SD3.ips.

As I said earlier, if it is patched, you will get the IPS message. Otherwise you have failed to patch. You have failed to mentioned if the IPS message is there. You have also failed to mentioned if you appropriately renamed the IPS patch.

You sir are my freaking hero. People like you deserve paypal donations.
I'm still waiting for the day that Snes9x and Zsnes can play together. Though I believe zsnes's netplay server thing is vastly awesome as is.
I could always throw the request for kalleria as always but its never gonna happen.
Ohh and btw the page is down. So it would be nice for a stable mirror.
