I tried playing the FFVI port on the 'latest' version of VBA and it sounded terrible. Not just lesser quality (which was expected with a port such as this) but it had all sorts of garish audio artifacts. With them not bothering to update it, I could force myself to sit through all the audio torture ...

Nice work. Hopefully the next official release will see all those annoying NetPlay issues fixed. I work for a software development firm and this sort of thing is so disheartening to read... we just spent months working on a new release with TONS of features and bugfixes, and then someone just gloss...

I got it working by setting the controls purposely opposite in the controller menu.

It's shit like this that, IMO, helps fuel the pirate scene even more. Sure, a game is "only" 30-60 dollars, but if you need to spend 400-1,500+ on a machine to play it decently, well, suddenly that game is now 430-1,560 dollars, isn't it?
