"Ethernet II framing"?

Post by Snark »

An ISP I called told me their ethernet network used "Ethernet II" and that my modem may be incompatible with it...So is there a driver out there or something I could download that could make the connection possible?

Google what you are seeking to get a slightly more informed idea.

ugh.
you're carelessly tossing around incorrect terms.

the network would be using "Ethernet II framing"

if it was your "modem" that was not compatible, why would a driver on your PC do anything to tell it how to handle and create the necessary frames?

If you're speaking of an analog telephone line modem, I LOL at the deadpan technical explanation given.
