zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator) 1.51 on my TV

Post by rawban »

zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator) seems to be working good on my computer monitor, but when i try to drag it to my TV, it wont go there? What setting have i missed, or is it something else?
I want to sit in my couch and play, not in a hard chair :(

Just to inform, i have my computer and lcd tv wired together with a DVI>HDMI cable. I have dualview in the graphiccard settings.
I can usually just drag a program or mediaplayer over to my TV and make it fullscreen, to watch them there. But with zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator), its just a wall, it wont go over to my TV.

Computer:
Vista
gpu: 9800GTX
anymore info needed?

Any help appreciated so i can start playing A Link To The Past asap! i refuse to play it on my computer monitor! :)

Thanks

Yes i have done that now, sure it works, but why do i have to do this every time?
Why cant i just drag zsnes from my monitor to my tv?

And another question, when i have choosed the tv as primary display, i cant get fullscreen. I tested many different resolutions, but still doesent work. Any ideas?

zsnes only works on the primary display. legacy directdraw limitation.

what resolution is your tv set to? if you're over hdmi, then the only fullscreen resolutions it'll likely accept are 1280x720@60Hz and 1920x1080@30Hz (and 1920x1080@60Hz if it's a 1080p-compatible tv).
Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.

Someone Photoshop the ZSNES GUI onto that monitor. Be sure to keep the image noise and tube curvature in-tact.

Mostly because the artist used conflicting perspectives for the box* and the tube* of the monitor I think.

lol I don't see why you guys are attempting to keep with the curvature of the screen while the original image that was on there didn't even do that.

Interesting fact: Doctor Claw's voice is in the new Transformers movie. The guy who voiced him voices Soundwave, and used the same voice(Normally when he does that character, they feed his voice through a vocoder so he sounds different. They didn't bother this time).

So, apparently, Doctor Claw is a giant robot. :D

Fact: Frank Welker voices half of all cartoon characters ever.

Lot of Transfans were disappointed that he didn't get the role of Megatron in the first movie, especially given Peter Cullen reprised his Optimus Prime role.

yeah, and after hearing his voice in the game based off of the movie it's for the best. -_- He can't do it no more. :(

That he can do Doctor Claw and not Megatron is weird... you'd think Doctor Claw would be harder on the voice.

You forgot that he also voices all of the animals in cartoons too. ;)

I think he was going for a different style of Megatron in the game.

Admittedly, I never got that far in the first game(PC version had some questionable control decisions). Haven't picked the second up, as I'm not really feeling the urge.

YouTube clips indicate a generally poor performance from everyone but Cullen.
That may just be because Prime sounds badass no matter WHAT he's doing, though.

Welker also "voiced" the GameBoy in Captain N.

I got the bonus version of the game released as the Greatest Hits version for the PS2. It included some little interviews done before the game was released that were up on the official site.

He really was trying to do the old Megatron. :(
