Problems with save state
I have been using ZSNES for a long time, but upon installing it will not save to my chosen save state folder. I don't know why this is. I've used both the Windows and Ubuntu versions, and tried various alternatives.
Re: Problems with save state
1. make sure zsnes has write permissions in the target directory (e.g. in modern versions of Windows, it won't be able to write to anything under %ProgramFiles%)
2. use fully-qualified paths unless absolutely necessary (e.g. C:\path\to\save or /home/user/.zsnes/save)
3. double-check for typos

Why yes, my shift key *IS* broken.
Re: Problems with save state
Suggestion for Ubuntu: Grant g+w and chgrp disk to the storage volume where you keep your saves, if it's outside your home directory, and add yourself to the disk group. You'll need to log out and back in for that last part to take effect.

Re: Problems with save state
No point in waiting around for Zsnes 2.0 since Pagefault has gone silent, people should try Snes9x 1.55 now that it's officially out.
