Filters

What about using filters from http://code.google.com/p/2dimagefilter/ ? This would extend the users choice for image upscaling.
At least they would need to be ported from C# to C++ but this is not that hard.
This is only a suggestion.

Show us your code tomorrow.

HINT: It's not. And it's x86 ASM not c++.

I love these books.

Sam's Teach Yourself Open Heart Surgery in 24 Hours.
Sam's Teach Yourself Japanese in 24 Hours.
Sam's Teach Yourself Nuclear Physics in 24 Hours.
Sam's Teach Yourself Not to Buy Books that Claim to Teach You Things in 24 Hours Because They're Full of Shit in 24 Hours.

those books do an adequate job of giving you the ability to create a rudimentary program without needing an outside reference.

but i agree that the tag line is weak.

in its defense, it's more of 24 hours spread over the course of nearly a month.

Regardless of the weak titles, the SAMS books are more of a jumping off point. Yes they suck and someone already hit it on the head saying spread over the better part of a month. It may be 24 hours, but thats assumed on an hour a day. I'd hate to toss someone one of those books and ask them for a coherent program a day later. That being said, its probably more sane (economical) for people look online for C and C++ programming tutorials as in my experience, they are about as equal in terms of .... fuck I lost my train of thought.

Whatever, fuck it.

Just auto-explode people that say "this is easy to do".
